CTL Line from CWP
The new Electrolux Home Products facility in Memphis, TN, has acquired a 60-in. by 0.060-in. by 25,000-lb. cut- to-length line from Cooper- Weymouth, Peterson (CWP), a Formtek Maine company. The line features a coil upen- der, coil-storage rack, coil- loading car, stock reel, level- er, edge trimmer, threading tables, servo feed, mechani- cal shear, inspection convey- or, parts stacker and dis- charge conveyor.
Amada Opens Satellite

Showroom in Dallas
March 7-8, 2012, marked the opening of Amada’s Dal- las Satellite Center (DSC), featuring a showroom and technical-training center. Train- ing at the DSC will primarily feature laser-cutting systems, press brakes, CAD/CAM soft- ware and laser-verified inspec- tion systems.

Blanking Lines
Red Bud Industries, Red Bud, IL, announced equip- ment sales to Viking Materi- als, Minneapolis, MN, a sub- sidiary of Reliance Steel and Aluminum Co., and to Ryer- son Inc. for its facility in Charlotte, NC. Viking installed its second Red Bud precision blanking line, capa- ble of processing stainless steel to 1⁄4 in. thick and alu- minum and carbon steel to 0.312 in., with coil weights to 50,000 lb. Blank-length tolerance is ±0.005 in. Ordered by Ryerson is a multi-cut blanking line rated
for material to 72 in. wide and 1⁄4 in. thick, also capable of producing blanks with width and length tolerances of ±0.005 in. The line should be in place and operational by the third quarter of 2012.
Sheetmetal-Enclosure
Fabricator Expanding
into Mexico
Maysteel LLC, Allenton, WI, a manufacturer of preci- sion sheetmetal enclosures, will open a new sheetmetal- fabricating plant in Monterrey, Mexico, during the first quar- ter of 2012. The new 50,000- sq.-ft. facility will employ 60 people and include welding and powder coating among its core competencies.
Products fabricated in Mexico will undergo process and product validation at the firm’s Wisconsin technical center prior to launching pro- duction, say company offi- cials.

Compact Coil Lines
in Brazil
Coe Press Equipment, Sterling Heights, MI, has shipped two SpaceMaster Series 2 coil lines to Gestamp Parana S/A, to be installed on 600-ton Jier presses for stamping auto- motive parts. The lines are rated for material to 1⁄8 in. thick and 48 in. wide, and can feed at 60 ft./min. Each includes a combination feed- er-straightener driven by Coe’s new ServoMaster Touch control.
