Hydrapower will provide the new KW facility with a coil-processing line and taper slitter, 50-ft. press brakes with automated sheet feeding, a conical die set, an exit conveyor and a seam welder with entry loader. KW president Jim White credits the automation associated with the line with allowing a workforce of six to produce 100 poles/8-hr. day.
Waterjet-Cutting Showroom Opens in China
Jet Edge, Inc., St. Michael, MN, a manufacturer of waterjet-cutting systems, has opened a new sales, service and equipment- demonstration showroom facility in Shanghai, China.
The facility will supply and support local customers, pro- vide training and maintain a spare-parts warehouse.
Contract Manufacturer to Double in Size
Accrotool, Inc., New Kens- ington, PA, a contract manu- facturer offering metal stamping and fabricating, CNC machining, painting and other services, is adding 120,000 sq. ft. to its exist- ing 100,000-sq.-ft. facility. The firm also now can apply silk-screen images to its products, following the December 2010 acquisition of MTEC, a silk-screening company in Jeannette, PA. Lastly, the company has added flat-screen television panels throughout its facility to provide production teams real-time access to job
schedules—a change the company expects will increase productivity by 30 percent and accelerate on-time deliveries.

Genesis Systems Forms Mexican JV
Robotic-system integrator Genesis Systems, Daven- port, IA, has formed a joint- venture enterprise with ICESA Modicon, San Juan del Rio, Queretaro, Mexico. ICESA Modicon provides a proprietary line of material- handling equipment, ergonomic lift tables, alu- minum rails and pallet trans- fer systems, and develops, integrates and installs resist- ance- and arc-welding systems.

Serapid, Inc., Sterling Heights, MI, appointed John Remington to its quick-die- change sales team. The firm manufactures the Rigid Chain telescopic mechanical actuator that provides hori- zontal and vertical motion.
Commercial Metal Form- ing, Youngstown, OH, appoint- ed Bob Messaros president. The firm manufactures tank heads and other heavy-gauge stampings such as rear-axle bowl covers for the medium- and heavy-truck industry.
