Motoman Partners
to Provide Robotic Waterjet-Cutting Systems
Motoman Robotics, Day- ton, OH, has partnered with automation-system integrator Tech-Con Automation Inc. (TCA), Burlington, Ontario, Canada, to provide robotic waterjet-cutting systems. TCA will be responsible for integrating waterjet-cutting cells for new and existing Motoman customers in North America, and will handle service contracts and retro- fits on existing Motoman waterjet-cutting systems (which use Flow Corp. water- jet apparatus) in the automo- tive industry.

Penn Stainless Earns Export Achievement Award
Stainless-steel service center Penn Stainless, Quakertown, PA, received an Export Achievement Cer- tificate from the U.S. Dept. of Commerce (DoC). The firm supplies and processes flat-rolled stainless-steel bar, structural and tubular products. Export Achieve- ment Certificates are pre- sented to U.S. businesses that have benefited from DoC export assistance to either make their first export sale or to expand their international sales into new foreign markets.
Kansas Fabricator Earns Governor’s Award
Landoll Corp., Marysville, KS, a manufac- turer of farm equipment, trailers, military vehicles and a host of other prod- ucts, earned the Governor’s Award of Excellence. The award is sponsored by the Kansas Department of Com- merce and the Kansas Cav- alry, a volunteer group of business leaders who work to promote the state as a business location. Landoll operates a 600,000-sq.-ft. shop and employs more than 550 people.

On August 12, 2010, the American Chopper brand name of The Learning Chan- nel expanded with the launch of a new series called American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior. The show follows Paul Teutel Sr. as he contin- ues to operate his Orange County Choppers motorcycle business in Newburgh, NY, and his son Paul Jr. as he runs his startup design com- pany and custom chopper shop, Paul Jr. Designs.
