AP&T Takes on Press
Service in Sweden
For the first time, Swedish press and automa- tion-equipment builder AP&T (with North American headquarters in Monroe, NC) has taken on all of the service needs for a cus- tomer’s mechanical and hydraulic presses. The firm announced its first all- inclusive service agreement with Swenox AB, a Swedish manufacturer of automotive parts.
AP&T, which previously had established service agreements for mechanical presses, now has overall responsibility for all of presses at Swenox—10 hydraulic models and 17 mechanical.
Coatings Company Looks
to Expand in Asia-Pacific
MetoKote Corp., Lima, OH, has entered into a con- sulting services agreement with Tokyo, Japan-based Foxmark Intl., a manage- ment services firm, to expand its coating services with manufacturers in the Asia-Pacific region.
ITEC to Represent Swedish Tube- and Pipe-Bending Equipment

Sweden’s Herber Engi- neering AB, a manufacturer of hydraulic and electric tube- and pipe-bending machines, announced the formation of a strategic part- nership with Innovative Tube
Equipment Corp. (ITEC), Rockford, IL. ITEC will be Herber’s exclusive North American representative for sales, applications engineer- ing, technical support and service, and installation.

FMP Met Lab, Cleveland, OH, a sister company of Ferrous Metal Processing and FerrouSouth, earned a Certificate of Accreditation ensuring it has implement- ed the systems required to perform a variety of metal- lurgical testing services for metal-alloy sheet, strip and plate. Among the testing services it offers: ultimate tensile and yield strength, elongation, hardness test- ing, metallographic analy- sis, microetching, grain size, photomicrography and bend testing.
Metal finisher Nico Prod- ucts, Minneapolis, MN, has earned Nadcap accredita- tion from the Performance review Institute (PRI), which ensures that the com- pany conforms to strict guidelines as a global aero- space and defense contrac- tor. Nico received accredita- tion for chemical processing including zinc plating, pas- sivation and other finishing processes.
AS9100:Rev B 2004 quality certification has been bestowed upon Waukesha Metal Products, Sussex, WI. The AS9100 version includes the ISO9001 standard and adds supplementary requirements that apply to the aerospace, aviation and defense industries. Those
