Fabricator One of America’s Fastest Growing Companies
Pickwick Manufacturing Services, Cedar Rapids, IA, has been named to the 2009 Inc. 5000, a list of the fastest growing compa- nies in the United States. Pickwick, a contract metal fabricator, also made the list in 2008. It operates out of a 100,000-sq.-ft. facility to fabricate sheet, plate and structural components and assemblies, performing laser cutting, forming and bending, welding, powder coating and other processes.

Ice Industries Expanding Monterrey Operations
Deep-draw and high-ton- nage metalforming company Ice Industries, Sylvania, OH, has acquired the air-tank manufacturing assets of two U.S. companies and will move those assets to its facility in Monterrey, Mexico.
Ice purchased automated rolling and welding lines from Truck Equipment Man- ufacturing Co., Charlotte, NC, and Quest Mfg., Springfield, MO, to manu- facture steel and aluminum tanks for the heavy truck and off-highway industries. The company’s Monterrey facility currently manufac- tures HVAC-industry com- pressor components and fire-extinguisher cylinders.
