New Metalforming-
Training Lab to Open
in Anoka, MN
The Precision Metalform- ing Association (PMA) Twin Cities District in Minnesota has partnered with Anoka Technical College, Anoka, MN, to create a new metal-fabri- cation laboratory for training incumbent and prospective employees. The lab will be stocked with nearly $1 mil- lion worth of donated fabri- cation equipment, including an Amada press brake, laser cutting machine and turret punch press.
Anoka Technical College is putting the finishing touches on the lab to pre- pare it for the school’s fall semester. Tuition is dis- counted for PMA members in the Twin Cities area.

New Jersey Stamper Wins OSHA Sharp Award
HK Metalcraft, Lodi, NJ, received the OSHA SHARP (Safety and Health Achieve- ment Recognition Program) award on May 7. The award recognizes small employers who operate an exemplary safety and health manage- ment system. Upon receiving SHARP recognition, a work- site is exempt from pro- grammed inspections dur- ing the period that the SHARP certification is valid.
