Our partnership with AMADA enables us to maintain our leadership position.
— Steve Rasso
PWR North America traces its roots to C&R Racing, Inc. C&R began in 1988 as a specialty machine and fabrication shop serving the IndyCar industry. The company grew into the supplier of choice for cooling solutions used by motorsports leaders.
At the same time, Australian-based PWR was establishing a reputation as a world leader in automotive cooling technology. In 2015, PWR acquired C&R (now known as PWR North America) to strategically expand its global footprint by com- bining the strengths of two leaders in the cooling industry.
In addition to providing comprehensive design and engineering services, PWR partnered with AMADA to resolve its sheet metal fabrication needs. At the heart of utilizes a highly innovative resonator to automatically and precisely adjust the diame- ter of the laser beam. This unique feature enables the continuous processing of thin- to-thick materials by a single machine without requiring a lens change or additional setup. Steve Rasso, General Manager at PWR North America, states, “ENSIS is a game-changer. Its speed and capabilities enable us to do things we couldn’t do before.”
Today, PWR North America is the leading manufacturer of cooling systems components for the motorsports, aftermarket, OEM, aerospace, and defense industries.
“We’re constantly developing new products, taking advantage of new opportunities,” Rasso said. “And we will continue to rely on AMADA to increase our strength in manufacturing and maintain our front-runner position in advanced cooling technology.”
