AM Companies PrinterPrezz, Vertex Mfg. Now Operating as Zeda, Inc.
PrinterPrezz and its subsidiary, Vertex Mfg., providers of addi- tive manufacturing (AM) and nanotechnology solutions for the medical, defense and aerospace industries, have rebranded and now will operate under the new company name Zeda, Inc. Initially created to address the evolving needs of the orthopedic devices industry, the company has expanded into other highly regulated sectors. It now encompasses 140,000 sq. ft. under-roof through facilities in California, New Jersey, Ohio and Singapore.
“In 2018, we entered a new territory with advanced manufac- turing of medical devices for the global orthopedic market,” explains Zeda CEO Shri Shetty. “By combining advanced manu- facturing processes such as 3D printing with technologies from the semiconductor industry, we are able to customize and reduce the cost of medical devices for the global population. It wasn’t long before we realized that the fusion of these technologies could revolutionize not just healthcare but also spur advance- ments in the defense, semiconductor and aerospace industries.”
The Zeda name reflects the company’s “Z to A” approach, which means starting with the customer in mind and ending with a product, according to company officials.
