presses, for blanking, progressive die, and transfer applications, “are designed to increase productivity while reducing the risk of downtime,” says Bob Owen, president of Enprotech Industrial Tech- nologies, “and shorten the lead time for installation and startup.”
Enprotech will provide installation, cal- ibration and startup services; onsite con- sulting to help maximize productivity; flex- ible control-system options, including a pre-programmed Allen Bradley system or the ability to integrate with any preferred third-party system; and access to thou- sands of in-stock spare parts and per- ishable replacement components. New Mitutoyo
Noncontact
Measurement
System Promises to
Reduce Run Times
Mitutoyo America Corp. has introduced the Quick Vision Pro Series, the latest generation of its vision-based measure- ment systems. Packed with high-perfor- mance enhancements to improve 3D non- contact measurement and productivity, the machine features a newly developed StrobeSnap vision measuring function that quickens run time by 35 to 45 percent
regardless of measure- ment position or continu- ity. Auto focus on the QV Pro Series is approximately 39 percent faster than previous mod- els, say company officials, without
loss of accuracy.
An optional stream function real- izes high throughput using nonstop measurements that synchronize the main X-Y unit drive and strobe lighting. Stream takes images intermittently without stopping the stage
and simultaneously performs batch meas- urements, optimizing measurement speed. An optional tracking auto-focus feature (TAF) employs a laser tracker that keeps the part in focus while moving the joystick, eliminating the need to manually refocus onthepartifitisnotflat.Asapart program runs, TAF keeps it in focus so that the program does not have to stop
for auto focus, and stops potential errors from occurring if the part is out of focus. This feature reportedly reduces meas- urement times by 30 percent.
All QV Pro Series machines can be retrofitted with stream capability, RGB (red, green, blue) illumination systems, and side-mounted touch-probe kits. Mitutoyo America Corp.: www.mitutoyo.com
