 Fabrication: Laser Cutting
 Two Trumpf TruLaser Cell 7040 five-axis laser cutting machines sit side by side at 3- Dimensional Services Group’s Urgent Design & Manufacturing operation in Lapeer, MI. In 2015, 3-Dimensional Services began adding five-axis machines, and now boasts 19 Trumpf five-axis units across its locations in Rochester Hills, MI, and Lapeer.

New Laser Cutting Technology Needed
In 1992, beside the purchase of an SLA 500 rapid prototyping machine, 3-Dimensional Services agreed to house nearly a dozen NTC CO2 laser cutting machines in its nearly empty building for demonstration purpos- es—very early in the evolution of laser cutting technology.
