Ready Technology Launches New Website
New Website Provides Welding-Workforce Statistics
Ready Technology, Inc., Dayton, OH, has launched a new website, www.readytech- nology.com, where visitors can download catalogs for all Ready products, including Ready Benders, SuperSpring coil springs, nitrogen gas springs, cam units and guiding elements. Also available: Acrotech urethane sheets,
forming tools and roll bending machines; Amcor tooling accessories; specialty springs from Associated Spring Ray- mond; tooling from Penn Unit- ed; and more. Site visitors can review all product features and capabilities, request quota- tions for standard and special products, and download prod- uct CAD files.
The American Welding Society (AWS) Foundation has launched Welding Work- force Data, a website dedicat- ed to sharing accurate weld- ing-workforce statistics and projections.
Approved by AWS, the web- site is powered by Emsi labor market data, CareersInWeld- ing.com, and the U.S. Depart- ment of Education College Affordability and Transparency lists. The site, which shows projected welding needs and welder opportunities, is designed to become the trust- ed source for the industry.
“WeldingWorkforceData.com will be the go-to source for welding-workforce labor sta- tistics,” says Monica Pfarr,
AWS Foundation executive director. “The site will share the most up-to-date work- force data and projections, critical to ensure the sharing of accurate information with- in the industry and across media outlets.”
There are an estimated 750,000 U.S. welding profes- sionals, with more than 160,000 nearing retirement. The Welding Workforce Data website provides relevant data including projected welding needs (by 2024, industry will need 314,000 new welding professionals), the national median salaries for different welding careers, and regions with the most welding jobs.
