Quintus Technologies Provides Press to Chinese Auto-Parts Supplier

A Chinese supplier of exterior automotive parts, Minth Group, is adding a high-pressure Flexform press from Quintus Technologies, a provider of metalforming equipment headquartered in Västerås, Sweden. The press will be used for prototype development for a product line that trims decorative parts, body structural parts and seat-frame systems. The machine’s hydroforming process requires only one rigid tool half, generating significant tool cost savings and eliminating several forming operations. The Minth Group has more than 30 production facilities throughout China as well as the United States (Detroit), Thailand, Mexico, Japan and Germany.
