Stanco Metal Products Receives Women's Business Enterprise Certification

Stanco Metal Products, Inc., a Grand Haven, MI-based provider of metal stampings, with locations in Grand Haven, Williamston, SC and Santa Teresa, NM, has been certified by the Great Lakes Business Council and the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) as a woman-owned and operated and controlled business. Stanco Metal Products is solely-owned and operated by CEO Linda Slagel. Ms. Slagel, the third generation owner and the granddaughter of Stanco founder, Warren Stansberry, Sr. Founded in 1917 as a manufacturer of household wire products, primarily crochet hooks and knitting needles, the company now serves a range of industries, including automotive, office furniture, appliance, lawn and garden, and housewares.

“Throughout our history, we have expanded our capabilities and diversified our customer base to take advantage of opportunities in an ever-changing marketplace,” says Slagel. “We’re confident this certification will open new doors for us. It’s another example of how Stanco is willing to evolve to reach new customers and ensure the company’s success for another hundred years.”
