April 1, 2016Comments
Steel service center Southwest Steel Coil Inc., Santa Teresa, NM, a division of Calstrip Industries, has implemented Stratix metal-service-center ERP software from Invera.
Southwest Steel implemented a full complement of Stratix features such as online production planning, online slitter and cut-to-length setup functions, shop-floor receipt of goods, shop-floor production recording and packaging with barcode scanning, toll processing, and online shipment planning.
“When our customers call for a status of the order, we can tell them exactly where their order stands in our company,” says Ed Camden, Southwest Steel president, “and the nonconformance-reporting functions help us keep a close eye on any customer feedback and ensure we deliver high-quality products.”
Implementation of the metals-ERP software included sales, purchasing, receiving, inventory management, multi-step production, production scheduling, delivery and logistics planning, non-conformance reporting, invoicing, and financials.
Invera provides steel and metal-service-center ERP software, metals-industry-based business-analytics dashboards and Internet systems.
