Gestamp Opens Second Plant in Puebla, Invests More Than 55 Million Euros

Earlier this week, Gestamp, a manufacturer of metal components and structural systems for the automotive industry, opened its second plant in Puebla (and its fourth in Mexico), with an investment of more than 55 million euros.  Gestamp’s revenues in Mexico reached 336 million euros in 2013, an increase of 136 percent since 2010. The new plant includes 18,000 sq. m. of production space and features state-of-the-art technology for cold and hot stamping, and laser cutting and welding. As Gestamp increases output from the plant during the next 3 yr., it plans to expand its production space to a total of 43,000 sq. m.
