Solar Atmospheres of Western PA, Hermitage, PA, has installed a high-temperature, high-purity, production-scale 2-bar vacuum furnace for heattreating and brazing small to midsized loads. The investment is aimed at satisfying customers in the medical, tool and die, aerospace, nuclear and other industries. Locating the new furnace (12 by 12 by 18-in. work envelope) in an environmentally controlled room eliminates concerns regarding discoloration of metal parts.
