Community College Earns NIMS Accreditation

The Machine Technology Program at Indian Hills Community College, Ottumwa, IA, has earned accreditation from the National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS). Accreditation required an onsite evaluation and facility inspection, along with interviews with students and faculty. The NIMS national skill standards for machining address programming, setup and operation of CNC milling and turning equipment, as well as job planning, measurement and safety; www.nims-skills.org/.
