Medium-Frequency RSW Machine a Hit at Marlin Steel
October 1, 2014Comments
An Ideal (based in Germany and with U.S. operations in Rockford, IL) robotic medium-frequency resistance-welding machine has been installed at Marlin Steel Wire, Baltimore, MD. The machine, a Versaweld model touted as only one of five in the world and the only one outside of Germany, supports welding in three dimensions. It features rotating heads that can weld along curved or irregular shapes and completes welds in 0.002 sec. Its worktable measures 4 by 10 ft.
