CS Unitec, Norwalk, CT, introduces the CS 2410 cotton buffing wheel to its line of metal surface-finishing abrasives and polishing products. For use with polishing compounds, pastes and rouges, the wheel produces a very bright, high-mirror finish. The wheel, made of cotton yarn, measures 3.5-in. dia. by 4 in. wide, and proves ideal for finishing flat, contoured or irregular surfaces.

Designed for use with CS Unitec’s PTX Eco Smart Professional surface-finishing machine, this hollow-core cotton buffing wheel is lightweight and easier to use, say company officials, than 5/8-11 spin-on wheels. The patented abrasive-mounting system of the PTX Eco Smart allows the wheels to be changed in seconds, without tools or hardware. Use it to produce linear matte, satin and other finer finishes up to a mirror finish on mild and stainless steels as well as nonferrous metal alloys. It also can remove welds, deep scratches, oxidation, rust and paint.
