Trumpf-Tooling Catalog Loaded with Punch-Press Products

Mate Precision Tooling, Anoka, MN, has published a new and expanded Mate Trumpf tooling catalog, which contains an overview of each of Mate’s tooling offerings compatible with Trump punch presses. Included are the Next and QuickLock tooling systems, and the Mate Multi Tool system of tools suited to Trumpf’s exclusive range of four-, five-, six- and 10-station multi-tool assemblies.

The catalog features a Product Selector reviewing each tool’s ratings for parameters such as setup, interchangeability, grind life, ease of use and purchase price. It also contains information on special assembly tools and shapes, and the Maxima coating that promises to increase tool life by two to 10 times. A Tips and Techniques section offers methods for separating parts using long, narrow rectangles; how to solve galling problems; eliminating bolts and lock washers; combating material warp; recommended distances between punched holes; and more suggestions for developing cost-effective punching processes.
