Barnes Aerospace, Bristol, CT, is planning a new manufacturing facility in Singapore to produce precision aerospace components for use in aircraft engines. The company currently operates two facilities in Singapore, one for repair and overhaul work and the other for OEM manufacturing. The company produces precision machined and fabricated components and assemblies for OEM turbine, airframe and industrial-gas-turbine builders worldwide, and also performs jet engine overhaul and repair. “By expanding our presence in Singapore, we increase our global manufacturing capacity in one of the major aviation centers in Asia,” says Patrick Dempsey, Barnes Aerospace president.
