Johnson Controls to Relocate Seat-Systems Work

Johnson Controls announced that seat-assembly business recently awarded by Ford will be moved from Chesterfield Township, MI, to the Johnson Controls plant in Plymouth Township, MI, as well as a plant in Warren, MI, operated by the company’s Bridgewater Interiors joint venture. Seat-building operations for the Focus and Town Car will move to Plymouth in July 2004, where seats for Lincoln LS models currently are being built.
