ISO 9001-2000: PMA Sponsors Virtual Seminar

Tuesday, August 20, 2002

The new ISO 9001-2000 introduced a significant change in the process of auditing. The new standard requires fewer procedures and relies heavily on objective evidence to demonstrate compliance. To demonstrate compliance, there will be a heavy reliance on the availability of quantitative information and records. An online seminar, The “Shalls” of the New ISO 9001-2000 Procedures, sponsored by the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), will prepare you with the information and tools you’ll need to meet the new standards. Jerry Osborne, regional manager, CRS Registrars, Inc., along with other representatives from the training and metalforming industry, will address these issues on Wednesday, August 28 at 2:00 p.m. ET. They will provide an overview on the new rulings, how to track your training efforts and success stories on effective training. Owners/CEOs, presidents, general managers, supervisors, team leaders, human resource managers and coordinators, trainers and industry consultants will all find this topic of benefit. The cost of the seminar is $225 per site for members and $325 per site for nonmember companies. Participation at each site is unlimited. For more information, contact Karen Kittle or Tina Lesniok at 216/901-8800. Also, you can register online at www.metalforming.com/interview/register.tass. Please note that locations outside of the United States will incur additional long-distance charges. Contact PMA for rate information.
