Die Maker Installs Servo-Feed Unit for Die Tryout

Automotive diemaker Ronart Industries, Inc., Detroit, MI, has installed a new servo-feed unit and a motorized centering reel to enhance its die-tryout capabilities. The system, engineered and built by Dallas Industries, Inc., Troy, MI, includes a pull-thru straightener mounted on the feed unit, and can handle coils to 20,000 lb and 60-in. diameter. The servo feed, a Model DRFS-878, features a cluster gear drive and 20hp variable-speed motor. The Model PTS-789 straightener houses seven 4-in.-diameter straightening rolls and a 4-in. entry pinch roll.
