Fagor Arrasate, a Spain-based provider of cutting and forming lines, has announced the sale of a cut-to-length (CTL) line to Severstal, Russia's main steel producer and one of the world’s largest.

Fully automated through the complete process of unwinding, leveling, cutting and electromagnetic stacking, the CTL line has the latest sensor technology for measuring flatness and surface quality, and processes surface-critical material. Capable of processing materials from 0.25 to 4 mm thick, in high-strength and advanced high-strength materials, it has a rotary shear, which does not require a looping pit, and a cassette-type leveler.

Fagor Arrasate’s presence in Russia includes a sales office and more than 40 equipment installations.
