Innovative Online Training Program Developed to Tackle Skills Gap
Since the October 2018 launch of METALFORM EDU, the only online training program specifically designed for workers in the metal forming industry, PMA has added new courses and license options. New offerings include 32 PMA-exclusive courses in Spanish—covering press shop operations, die setting and lockout/tagout—and two new PMA-exclusive courses on metal spinning.
Companies and employees can get started quickly on the platform by using the nearly 30 PMA-designed learning paths with recommended
courses for key
jobs and skill sets
needed in the
metal forming industry. The full METALFORM EDU library includes more than 550 courses in both industry-specific and broad business and professional skills. All courses include interactive eLearning content, a downloadable study guide and a graded final assessment. New demonstration videos that make the program easy-to-use for both managers and employees also are available. Visit www.pma.org/metalformedu for more information.
