Learn how industry-leading metalforming companies have implemented best-practice initiatives and effectively engaged their workforces during the Metalforming Pioneer Company Panel Discussion, being held during FABTECH 2014. The event will take place on Tuesday, November 11, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Georgia World Congress Center, Room B302. There is no cost to attend the event, but space is limited.
This special panel will feature three Metalforming Pioneer Companies: E.J. Ajax, Diemasters Manufacturing and Marlin Steel Wire Products. These companies have been recognized by the PMA Educational Foundation’s Metalforming Pioneer Award Program, established through a grant from the Hitachi Foundation to identify companies that combine successful business results through well-defined values, culture, policies and practices.
Each of the three companies will discuss:
• How their shop-floor training programs were designed, modified and improved and how they measure its effectiveness;
• Roadblocks to developing and maintaining a successful training program and how they were overcome;
• Typical career pathways at their companies and how employees progress;
• Training resources (training products, local schools, credentials, etc.) used to create and enhance the training program; and
• How this training has improved the company’s bottom line and fostered employee career growth.
