New literature from Forward Industries, Plymouth, MI, a manufacturer of nitrogen manifold cylinders and systems, describes the advantages of using a manifold or press cushion compared to base plates. The publication displays applications for draw, progressive and transfer dies, as well as for combined dies and form dies. Included are product specifications and dimensions for basic, stub, low-profile and half-ton mini-model cylinders for standard and high-pressure systems.
A section in the brochure on manifold design walks engineers through the steps necessary to develop a complete system. Another section reviews accessories, control consoles and fittings.
