Contrinex, Inc., Old Saybrook, CT, will feature its 700-series stainless-steel inductive sensors. New to the line are M8 sensors with M12 connectors, allowing designers to use compact high-performance sensors while standardizing on the M12 connector format. The complete assembly of the sensing face, main housing and connector are machined from a single piece of stainless steel. As a result, the sealed sensors can withstand extreme impact and high shock levels, and will resist almost any chemical stress.
In addition, the use of Condet patented sensor technology produces a sensing distance reportedly three times that of conventional sensors of a similar size that is stable over its full temperature range from -25 to +70 C.
