Balluff Acquires ISS and Matrix Vision

German sensor and automation-services provider Balluff GmbH (U.S.: Balluff, Inc., Florence, KY) announced the acquisition of two companies: ISS Innovative Software Services GmbH (ISS) and Matrix Vision GmbH. Taken together, the acquisitions are intended to expand Balluff’s digitalization expertise.

ISS specializes in software-development tools, test systems, processes and standardizations for the automotive and supply industries, and will assume the role of inhouse software specialist for Balluff. Matrix Vision specializes in camera-based sensor systems, including frame grabbers, standard industrial cameras, video sensors, embedded systems and software. Matrix Vision will serve to extend Balluff’s product portfolio into the arena of industrial image processing.
