FMP Met Lab, Cleveland, OH, a sister company of Ferrous Metal Processing and FerrouSouth, earned a Certificate of Accreditation ensuring it has implemented the systems required to perform a variety of metallurgical testing services for metal-alloy sheet, strip and plate. Among the testing services it offers: ultimate tensile and yield strength, elongation, hardness testing, metallographic analysis, microetching, grain size, photomicrography and bend testing.
Metal finisher Nico Products, Minneapolis, MN, has earned Nadcap accreditation from the Performance review Institute (PRI), which ensures that the company conforms to strict guidelines as a global aerospace and defense contractor. Nico received accreditation for chemical processing including zinc plating, passivation and other finishing processes.
AS9100:Rev B 2004 quality certification has been bestowed upon Waukesha Metal Products, Sussex, WI. The AS9100 version includes the ISO9001 standard and adds supplementary requirements that apply to the aerospace, aviation and defense industries. Those markets, for which Waukesha Metal produces safety-critical products, account for about five percent of the company’s sales.
