New Extended-Reality Basic Training App for EOS M 290 Machines and Software

New from EOS: The EOS M 290 Basic Training app enables existing and new employees to train on machines and related software quickly from anywhere, and even before machine delivery. The extended-reality app, now available in the Additive Minds Academy (the EOS education provider for the additive manufacturing industry) store for Apple and Android devices, enables application specialists to learn how to operate M 290 machines and software and gain skills needed to advise customers and stakeholders.
The app provides an immersive augmented-reality experience and, together with Additive Minds Academy Blended Learning Paths, significantly reduces onboarding times for employees—from several months to four to six weeks. It replaces onsite training for the onboarding of new employees as well as the training and development of existing employees on new machines.
“The app can reduce operator training to just two or three days, at the same time decoupling training from machine availability onsite,“ says Volker Kunze, Additive Minds Academy manager. “As such, a company can use the waiting time effectively by starting training before the new machine arrives.”
