MachineMetrics MES Platform Adds AI-Powered Intelligence
November 13, 2025Comments
MachineMetrics has launched artificial-intelligence (AI)-powered
capabilities to its next-gen MES platform. Dubbed Max AI, the intelligence platform
combines three elements:
- Real-time machine data from any equipment on the shop floor
- ERP context from work orders, schedules and inventory systems
- Tribal knowledge captured in SOPs, manuals and expert documentation.
"Manufacturing has hit an inflection point," says MachineMetrics’ chief product officer Rutherford Wilson. "Data alone isn't enough anymore. What matters is execution. Max AI doesn't just display problems, it solves them, guiding action, enforcing standards, automating tasks and helping teams hit daily targets."
For example, Max AI’s continuous-improvement agent pinpoints production bottlenecks, uncovers setup trends, and delivers shift reports that provide real-time insights while automating routine tasks.
Additional Max AI features:
- Operator assistant: Helps operators with setup, prioritization and resolving disruptions
- Planner and supervisor agents: Monitor plan vs. reality and adjust operations on the fly
- Max reporter: Streamlines shift handovers with data-backed, automated summaries.
- Onboarding agent: Guides new users through implementation, connecting machines and ERP systems faster.
