Live and Virtual Event: Deep Draw Technology Boot Camp
September 26, 2025Comments
Intended for tool and die makers, die designers, tooling engineers and apprentices, the Deep Draw Technology Boot Camp 2025 takes place November 4-6 at Precision Metal Association (PMA) headquarters in Independence, OH, as well as virtually. Speakers during the intensive three-day engineering and design event include Peter Ulintz of Pace Technologies, LLC and PMA technical consultant; Manny Resendes, engineering/toolroom manager for Larson Tool & Stamping; and Robert Anderson, vice president of sales for Tower Metalworking Fluids.
Day one provides a historical background of deep drawing and its characteristics as well as in-depth coverage of shallow drawing, redrawing, reverse drawing, stretching and ironing. During day two, attendees process a theoretical request for quote for a cylindrical part that includes estimating the number of draws and the blank size; calculating the required press-stroke length, tonnage and energy requirements; and selecting an appropriate press and determining the correct stroke rate for the job. The exercise also includes selection of lubricants and pressure systems. Attendees on day three will learn how to determine the number of draws and intermediate draw shapes for square and rectangular parts, methods for blank-shape development, and more.
The price to attend the Deep Draw Technology Boot Camp in person or virtually is $549 for PMA members and $749 for nonmembers. In-person registration includes breakfast and lunch, and virtual registrants will receive their unique log-in links via email from Zoom. Visit for more details and to register, or contact Marianne Sichi, 216/901-8800 ext. 150.
