September 27, 2022Comments
thyssenkrupp Materials Services has announced plans to expand its service center footprint in North America by investing $37 million to build a new facility in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. The new Materials de Mexico service center will support the future viability of the automotive supply industry in Mexico, and create some 65 jobs. The centerpiece of the new location: a Schuler blanking line that will cut aluminum and high-strength-steel blanks.
The new site in San Luis Potosí, scheduled to start operations in mid-2023, will join with the company’s existing service center in Silao, which also features a Schuler aluminum blanking line (see accompanying photo), and facilities in Saltillo and Puebla.
