Sciaky Provides Burloak with EBAM System

Sciaky, Inc., a Chicago, IL-based provider of metal additive-manufacturing (AM) solutions, announced that it will deliver an electronic-beam additive-manufacturing (EBAM) 110 system to Burloak Technologies, Burlington, ON, Canada, a provider of AM parts for the aerospace, defense, energy, medical and transportation industries. A July 2019 delivery is scheduled.\

The equipment produces parts ranging from 8 in. to 19 ft. in length. Plus, the electronic-beam process reportedly is the fastest deposition process in the metal additive-manufacturing market, with gross deposition rates ranging from 7 to 25 lb./hr. Moreover, the EBAM’s real-time adaptive control system senses and digitally self-adjusts metal deposition with precision and repeatability.
