Stamper Earns Energy-Conservation Award for Laser-Welding Cell

The award recognizes a company that’s made the most effective contribution to reducing energy by implementing a significant new-technology or new-equipment project.
Ogihara’s award-winning project: implementation of a laser-welding cell to fabricate a two-piece automotive-door assembly, reducing energy consumption by 94 percent compared to the traditional resistance-welding process.
