A Powerful Pair of 33-Ton Turret Punch Presses
July 15, 2014CommentsMurata Machinery USA, Inc., Charlotte, NC, has added two new 33-ton turret punch presses to its Motorum line—the servo-driven M3048TG and M3058TG. Both models are available with either Wiedemann or spring-style tooling and produce as many as 510 hits/min. with a 25-mm pitch and 7-mm stroke, and 1000 hits/min. with a 0.5-mm pitch and 1.4-mm stroke. Maximum sheet thickness: 0.25 in.
Two-piece heavy-duty frames with a pyramid-base design provide stability even at maximum tonnage. The ram servo motor has been designed parallel with the press frame. This provides a compact frame generating minimum stress, optimal rigidity and improved hole quality and tool life.
Model M3048TG offers a maximum sheet size (without repositioning) of 49 by 98.5 in.; Model M3058TG, 60 by 98.5 in. Punching accuracy: plus or minus 0.004 in.
The included Fanuc control features Murata’s Intelligent Control touchscreen interface to help minimize setup time.
