GE Additive recently announced that Eaton‘s Aerospace Group, Irish supplier of products and technologies for hydraulic systems, fuel and inerting systems, and motion control and engine solutions, has selected two Concept Laser AM machines, as well as GE’s AddWorks consultancy services, to direct industrialization activities as Eaton further evolves and executes its long-term additive manufacturing (AM) strategy.

One machine will be installed at Eaton’s AM Center of Excellence at its Innovation Center in Southfield, MI, while the second machine will be situated at the company’s R&D lab at its Global Innovation Center in Pune, India. Both machines are expected to be installed by August 2018.

GE Additive AddWorks consultants will consult with Eaton’s teams to advise on industrialization and part certification processes, materials characterization and production readiness selection strategies.
