Get Ready To Be Inspired
Monday’s keynote presentation at 8:45 a.m. in the S100 Ballroom promises to excite as visionary leaders will be part of the FABx Tech Talks. If you’re a TED Talks fan, you won’t want to miss this. Speakers include Adam Genei, founder of Mobsteel; Jesse James of West Coast Choppers; Karen Kerr, executive managing director of GE Ventures; sculpture artist Albert Paley; Jacques Panis, president of Shinola; and Michael Walton, industry solution executive-manufacturing industry for Microsoft.

Following the keynote at 10 a.m., FABTECH 2017 will launch with the unveiling of two collaborative Paley/James metal sculptures. At 10:15, Adam Genei, creator of Mobsteel, will be available for a meet and greet in Ballroom S100. The FABTECH 2017 Education Program provides valuable learning experiences for every member of your team. Technical sessions are presented by the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, Society of Manufacturing Engineers and Chemical Coaters Association International. Among the topics covered: cutting, finishing, forming and fabricating, management, job-shop solutions, automation and robotics, stamping, and tube and pipe. And, the American Welding Society presents a comprehensive lineup of welding education, including the Resistance Welding School.

PMA’s technical sessions allow attendees to learn from leading industry experts, exchange best practices and explore new technologies. Today’s sessions at 8 and 10:30 a.m. will address deep-drawing and die-sensing technologies. At 1:30, metalforming tracks address lubrication selection and application and in-die assembly, monitoring and adjustments.
