Springfield, MA, a provider of cost-estimating software for manufacturing, has formed a strategic partnership with Profitkey Intl., Salem, NH, a provider of planning and financial-management software. The agreement calls for the MTI Costimator JS cost-estimating program to be embedded into Profitkey’s Rapid Response Manufacturing software. Cut-to-Length Line Tackles Thick HSLA Steel

Cooper-Weymouth, Peterson (CWP), Clinton, ME, has sold a heavy-duty compact cut-to-length line to Blount Canada, a manufacturer of chain, bars and sprockets. The line can process 40-in.-wide coils of high-strength steel (to 65,000 psi) 0.048 to 0.437 in. thick. Line features include powered adjustment on the confining plates and a cut-away at the back of the unit to ease loading of coils into the cradle. The straightener-feeder includes a hydraulic-powered debender to ease material threading. Learn more at
