Visual EstiTrack Users’ Conference in November

Fagor to Install Pickling Line in Spain

Fagor Arrasate, based in Spain with U.S. offices in Bensenville, IL, has received an order to design, manufacture and install a pickling line at steel-service center Alfonso Gallardo S.A. in Spain. The new line, running at a speed of 266 ft./min., can process coils weighing to 70,000 lb. in widths to 59 in. and thicknesses to 0.250 in. The line includes an integrated edge trimmer with scrap chopper, v shear, heavy-duty bridles and oiler. A computerized control system offers fault diagnosis, telediagnosis, monitoring and total system control. A video system manages the entire operation from a central podium. The new line is expected to process 500,000 tons of material annually. For more, visit
