Focuses on Hearing Conservation

The Bacou-Dalloz Hearing Safety Group has launched a new website, www.hearingportal.com, combining the informational assets of both Howard Leight and Bilsom brands, to provide safety managers with a new resource for hearing-conservation programs. The new site features complete product information for Howard Leight and Bilsom hearing protection devices, including all recognized attenuation ratings, literature downloads, global sales contacts, news archives and a user-friendly search function. Central to HearingPortal.com is a series of short articles designed to address the questions and concerns of safety professionals engaged in the development and implementation of hearing conservation programs. Authored by expert hearing conservationists and edited by noted hearing conservation authority Brad Witt, Sound Source is intended for safety professionals, including industrial hygienists, audiologists, hearing conservationists, students and interested members of the public. Topics include: Understanding Ratings, Earmuffs & Safety Eyewear, A- and C-Weighted Noise Measurements, How NRR is Calculated and more. Coming soon to HearingPortal.com will be an expanded hearing-conservation section, dubbed the Hearing Portal Resource Center, incorporating a number of other practical tools for safety/conservation program managers, hearing conservationists and the general public. Included will be regulatory information, new research findings and educational/motivational tools.

Banner Earns Export Achievement Certificate

Banner Engineering Corp., Minneapolis, MN, recently received the Export Achievement Certificate from the United States Commercial Service. The certificate recognizes small- and medium-sized businesses that have successfully entered the international marketplace for the first time or entered a new market. The US Commercial Service is the global business solutions unit of the United States Department of Commerce. Three-Day Technology Expo For Die/Mold Makers

The Built for Die/Mold Technology Expo 2005 will be held in Auburn Hills, MI, October 4-6.
