Janco Steel Ltd., Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada, has installed a Red Bud Industries ¼- by 72-in. by 80,000-lb. combination stretcher-leveler/multiblanking line. The line features a CNC programmable slitter, automatic strip divider positioning system and adjustable non-marking stretcher leveler. More at

Esab Opens New Welding-Automation Showroom

An appearance by South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, along with a couple of state senators, highlighted the recent opening of a new 5000-sq.-ft. showroom at the Florence, SC facility of Esab Welding and Cutting Products. The showroom includes a demonstration area, training room and meeting facilities, all focused on the firm’s welding-automation products. Products on display include side-beam welders, welding gantries, robotic-welding systems and a fully functional hybrid laser/arc-welding system. More at
