Stamper/Fabricator Acquires Two Companies

Durex Inc., Union, NJ, acquired P. Feiner & Sons, a custom metal-fabrication shop in Bogota, NJ, and Sternvent Co., also in Bogota, NJ, a manufacturer of dust-collection systems. Durex operates out of a 120,000-sq.-ft. facility with 65 presses with capacity to 500 tons, as well as a state-of-the-art sheetmetal-fabrication facility loaded with Amada equipment, and also offers assembly, packaging and inhouse powder-coating services. New Fargo Service Center
Adds Stretcher Leveling Line

Red Bud Industries, Red Bud, IL, installed a ½-in.-capacity cut-to-length line with a stretcher leveler at the new McNeilus Steel facility in Fargo, ND. The line is the third of its kind acquired by McNeilus—the other two operate at the firm’s facility in Dodge Center, MN. Stretcher leveler lines prove ideal for producing flat material that will stay flat, essential for laser-cutting applications. New Automation Show
to Debut Aside IMTS in 2012

AMT—The Association for Manufacturing Technology has formed a strategic partnership with Deutsche Messe AG to launch a new tradeshow, Industrial Automation North America. The new show will co-locate with IMTS (The International Manufacturing Technology Show) in 2012 at McCormick Place, in Chicago, IL. The show will feature production automation equipment to complement machine tools and other metalworking equipment.
