Laserdyne Ships Laser System to China

The Laserdyne Systems division of Prima North America, Champlin, MN, has shipped a 790 BeamDirector multi-axis laser system to Guizhou Xinyi Machinery Factory Co., Guizhou, China. That is the 26th multi-axis laser system shipped to Asia-Pacific aerospace manufacturers since the company began selling in Asia in 1988, according to company officials. The new system will be used for trepan and percussion drilling of small holes in turbine-engine vanes and blades manufactured by Guizhou Xinyi.

Fisher & Co., an auto supplier based in St. Clair Shores, MI, plans to build a $21-million metal-fabrication plant in Sterling Heights, MI. The plant, to be built within five years, will be constructed in phases, eventually reaching 180,000 sq. ft. in size.
The company supplies floor latches, seat recliners, head rests and arm rests to the automotive industry.
