Thursday, September 08, 2011

For the fifth consecutive year, Inc. magazine has added Shoptech Software, Glastonbury, CT, to its list of the 5000 fastest-growing companies in the United States. The firm provides its E2 shop-management software to small to midsized manufacturing companies. A press release announcing the Inc. magazine recognition describes how Dove Die and Stamping Co., Cleveland, OH, uses the software’s accounting, purchasing, data-collection and quality-control features to streamline its operations. And, the metal-stamping and die-build facility is in the process of implementing modules for shop-floor control, inventory management and estimating. “The E2 advanced materials-planning screen gives us the ability to see if we have enough finished parts to fulfill our customer’s ever-changing demands,” says Dove Die owner Peggy Andryszak. “What used to take 2 hr. now takes about 5 min.” More about Shoptech at www.shoptech.com.
