W.A. Whitney Merges with Piranha/Bertsch

Mega Fabrication, Inc., Hutchinson, KS, has purchased W.A. Whitney Co. from Esterline Technologies. Whitney, Rockford, IL, will continue operations, supplying laser-cutting machines, portable punch presses, CNC Fabricators and plasma-cutting machines. Mega also owns the Piranha line of ironworkers, press brakes and shears, and Bertsch plate-bending rolls and section rolls.

Powder-Coating Workshop Slated for Indianapolis

The Powder Coating Institute (PCI), Alexandria, VA, will host a two-day hands-on powder-coating workshop on November 9-10 in Indianapolis, IN. In the classroom, participants learn about coating materials, maintenance and troubleshooting of application equipment, booth recovery systems, design and use of pretreatment systems and more.
