Partnership Delivers New
Manipulation-Control Software for Motoman Robots

Industrial-robot manufacturer Motoman Inc., Dayton, OH, has partnered with robotics-software provider Agile Plant, Inc., Austin, TX, to provide an optimized control package for fabricating cells using dual-arm robots. KSO Metalfab, Inc., Streamwood, IL, has purchased MIE Maintenance, a preventive-maintenance software package from MIE Solutions. The software manages maintenance requests and predefined maintenance tasks to notify the maintenance team to perform work that preserves and restores equipment reliability, replacing worn components before they fail. Workers also can use the software to record equipment deterioration so that they know how to repair or replace worn parts. Kentucky Metal Fabricator
to More than Double in Size

Wolf Steel USA, Inc., Crittenden, KY, manufacturer of Napoleon-brand fireplaces, stoves, inserts and other related products, announced plans to add 72, 150 sq. ft. to its existing 39,000-sq.-ft. facility to increase warehousing, distribution and metal-fabricating and manufacturing space. The project falls under Kentucky’s new incentive program that will provide Wolf Steel with as much as $360,000 in tax incentives earned over a 10-yr. period. The expansion should be completed by March 2010 and result in the creation of 15 new jobs. Website:
