Safety managers can peruse the site for the latest in hearing-protection technology and products, and for information to help ensure safety-program compliance and effectiveness. Formtek Sells Equipment for Strip Galvanizing Line

Gregory Industries, Canton, OH, has installed a turret recoiler and turret uncoiler from B&K, a Formtek Group (Itasca, IL) company. Gregory manufactures highway guard rails. The new B&K equipment has increased coil capacity, reduced downtime and increased throughput of its continuous-strip galvanizing line.
Metalforming Controls Corp. Earns DOE Grant

The U.S. Dept. of Energy awarded MetalForming Controls Corp., Cary, IL, a $250,000 grant to commercialize its Force Modulator stamping-press control that it says could help reduce U.S. gasoline consumption by more than a billion gallons/yr. The control aids in the stamping of lightweight high-strength steels, used to improve vehicle safety and fuel efficiency. Learn more at
